Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund is a Native-led organization rooted in service to members of the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation, while also supporting Native American families and rural small businesses throughout Southwest Washington State.

We expand access to financial education, training, coaching, and responsible financial resources that help individuals, families, and entrepreneurs build financial stability, strengthen their businesses, and create long-term prosperity that can grow across generations.
Founded by the Chehalis Tribe in 2007, CTLF became a self-sustaining nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in 2010. In 2015, CTLF was certified as a Native Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) through the CDFI Fund of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
Today, from our office in Oakville, Washington, we continue to grow alongside the community we serve. We provide culturally grounded financial education, technical assistance, coaching, and fair lending designed to help people move toward their goals with knowledge, confidence, and opportunity.

Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI’s) share a common goal of expanding economic opportunity by providing access to financial products and services for local residents and businesses.
Native CDFI’s focus on helping Native Communities thrive and grow by increasing their access to credit, capital, and financial services. They are engines of opportunity, offering accessible funding for resourceful and resilient communities in Indian Country. They weave partners, funding, and networks together to create lasting prosperity and opportunities shared by all.
The majority of Native communities, 86 percent, lack a single financial institution within their borders to access affordable financial products and services.
